Join Ted Lord,  director of the Nanaimo Historical Society for a leisurely stroll around Maffeo Sutton Park on Saturday 7th October at 10 00 am. We’ll start by the Welcome Pole where Dave Bodaly will describe Snuneymuxw history and culture of this site. At various stops, historical events that shaped the park will be described. After the walk, have a coffee, ice cream or lunch at one of the refreshment places along the waterfront walkway. This is a free event, and will go ahead rain or shine (dress appropriately). There is free parking for the first three hours in the Maffeo Sutton lot.  All are welcome.  This follows the very successful walking tour of Departure Bay last October, which you can  learn more about here and a Buttertubs Marsh walking tour in May which you can learn more about here.
